The tone changes a bit throught the song being more sad in some parts and cheerful in others, at the end in the last verse its more sad saying that nothing will ever be the same without her and that they have to enjoy the moment. Other parts of the song are more cheerful and state that the girl has "cast a spell on him"really meaning that she has him controlled, more like he is totally in love with her, and this part has a really cheerful tone.
